Dear All,

Any advice on taking a job with IPA in Riyadh? The salary on offer is 13,000SAR. Is it a good place to work? Anything to look out for? Would like to hear from current employees

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

Although I have heard nothing but positive things about them as employers, do be careful about paying any costs up front. I have friends (a couple) who were asked by the IPA to pay their own airfare to Washington and hotel bill with the promise that they would be reimbursed. Turns out they could not accept the job. They never saw a penny of that reimbursement, which was close to US$1000.

It is standard policy for many interviews that you are not reimbursed if you are given an offer and don't accept it. It should certainly be made clear at the beginning though.

Dear NCTBA,
I've already PM'd Mia, requesting some specifics. I'm still in contact with the Director of the ELC there. When/If she replies, I'll get in touch with him to see what I can find out.
Regards,
John
