Does anyone know what are good online sites to purchase games (e.g card games such as Quiddler, Xactica or opther board games, etc) from US that will ship to Japan directly. A lot of games at Amazon don't allow purchases to a Japanese address. Trying to save soem yen doing this since the exchange rate is now good.
Thanks |

Did they give a reason? I only just this week received a purchase from Amazon US.
UK Amazon and other UK sites wouldn't ship certain electronics or goods that weighed over 1kg out of Europe, whilst many US companies said that for goods over a certain value, for security reasons they would only ship to the billing address if it was going overseas.
Amazon US, just made me type in all my billing address and card details again before allowing me to add my address in Japan. Got my delivery 5 days later. |

Thanks.
Maybe I'll try and do that.
When you go to the "shopping cart" to checkout in Amazon, certain items were flagged as "not being able to ship to the billing address". Maybe I'll try to retype in the billing address and see what happens. The items flagged were card games like SET and Xactica and Target, etc. Books had no problem. |

It actually asked me to reconfirm my details because I didn't want the things sent to my billing address and I was adding a new address. I'm guessing it didn't do the same for you.
I did try to buy a set of Ear Force x41, but because it won't be launched outside the US until later this year, they wouldn't allow shipping overseas. So perhaps there is a legal reason some of the things you want can't be shipped. |

Got any friends in the US? Get them to order the game from Amazon and then send it to you in Japan. You can reimburse them via Paypal or write them a check. |

Hi Hoser
Yep I thought about that but I guess I'll be hassling them all the time, that's all.
Not sure how much cheaper it will be to have the package from Amazon repackaged and then sent overseas. I thought the shipping costs from Amazon are already at specially cheap rates. |

They won't ship some games to Japan due to distribution issues.
This is also an issue with online distributors such as Steam and Direct2Drive. |
