Yes, I received my contract the other day from AETG for Princess Noura (I think!), as there was no mention of where I would be teaching on the contract. Anyway I will not be signing the contract. I'm happy to supply details if you want to pm me. |

Dear Nomad:
Would you mind sharing the details of AETG's contract that it appears you will not be accepting? Was it clear who you will be teaching? AETG seem to be short on details. Thanks.

My recruitment agency was Saxoncourt. The contract came from AETG together with a document to apply for my visa. The contract stated that I would be under the employment of AETG at the Head offices of the Group or in one of its delegated locations or branches but nothing about Princess Noura. There was nothing about the accommodation (Im a single female), medical (required or not?). Hours and salary were there. Personally, I declined because of the uncertainties and lack of information that hadn't been a problem in my previous contracts. |

I'm waiting for my contract. I asked for some details. Princess Noura is still under construction and its campus is being built on the Airport Road. The present campus is opposite Granada Mall (exit 9). That's all for now. |

I was interviewed by Saxoncourt in July. They sent me a don't call us we'll call you letter. Now it seems others are refusing their contracts.
Maybe they WILL call me.

Hi everyone,
I responded to 3 job ads not knowing they were all for Princess Noura. At this point, Salem Amin has sent me a "contract" and expects me to get a visa asap, all by myself, and get myself over there to work 45 hour weeks. Pay is also low. Accomodation is shared. They want an answer soon as "spots are filling up". Understandably, since they are literally handing them out. Sounds ridiculous to me.
Saxoncourt are interviewing me soon, and they seem more professional since they are ACTUALLY interviewing me before offering me a job. I have more than one question for them!
Anyone signing this "contract"? If yes, WHY? |

I haven't signed yet, but the offer I received said that "teaching" hours were 30 max. What, in your opinion, is low pay? I thought the salary I was offered was pretty decent. I'm still holding out for more detailed information.
Is Saxoncourt interviewing for Princess Noura too? I also have an interview with them.
Hmm.... |

Thirty teaching hours is just too much on a regular basis. I had suspected, but I am still shocked, that the universities there were heading to the 30 hour standard.
If there can get warm bodies to fill up the instructor positions under these conditions, then this will become the standard. This is a clear indication of how they regard the profession. |

They were nice enough to ask me why I declined and I told them so, same as most, even though I will be missing all the parties at the Embassy in Riyadh, including mingling with a great bunch of people working there.
Yikes ! |

Oh, sure! You could be going to parties at the embassy in riyadh with "the great bunch of people working there" only if you are NOT American.
If you ARE American all the liquor in the world couldn't remove the awful taste in your mouth of what you had to kiss in order to get an invite!

Ive never done that in my life and never will, 35 + years of work allow me to make my own decisions without having to get any brownie points.
I am going there with my Spanish (European Union) passport and I can assure you we know how to party and have a "clean fun"
