I am an English coordinator at a private junior high and high school in DF. I was wondering if people could give me ideas for English speaking activities or contests outside of my school such as spelling bees, grammar contests, or other school contests in English; or trips or tours to museums or other places given in English. Also any other ideas for getting my students to practice English outside the school.
Thanks in advance,

Several times in the past few years prepa students have come up to me in malls and parks and asked me a series of pre-selected questions about my being in Mexico. They have done this as a class assignment. |

Shakespeare at the Anglo. There is a contest every Feb. where kids have to perform a monologue and a sonnet. It's super awesome. I coach kids at my school and last year we placed in the top three; first place wins a trip to the Globe in London. |
