				| Does anyone know what the difference is between the "outbox" and the "sentbox"? | |

				| If it's in the outbox it's in line to be sent, but not sent yet. | |

				| Expanding on what Spiral wrote, if your Sentbox gets too full (say over 95%), then any messages you submit will sit in your Outbox until you clear enough space in your Sentbox for them to be able to (automatically) transfer over; the Outbox is therefore something like a Draft box (with the corollary that Outbox messages can still be edited, but sent ones obviously can't).
Another thing I learnt is that if you are signed into Dave's on two IE windows (it does happen), with one version of a draft in/on one, and editing that "same" draft on the other, then the idle draft can get sent, which can be awkward if it really did need the editing!

Lastly, it is easy to not realize or indeed forget that you won't be able to receive messages if you don't leave enough space in your Inbox (and if you can't receive the message you won't receive a notifcation to your external email of a message (not) arriving either!).

				| Why doesn't the message just get sent instead of sitting in the outbox? And who or what decides to eventually send the message? And when? | |

				| Dear MrG, It moves to the "Sent" box ONLY when the intended recipient opens it.
 Regards,
 John

If someone hasn't opened a message that I sent them more than two or three months ago, then I delete it - either they've been hit by a bus, or their Inbox is so chocka that they're unaware the PM's lost in limboland.
