I have a question about a visa Run to Laos.

Does anyone have the name, email, website and/or number of an agency that can help you do the visa run to Laos? (travel agency)

I hear there are some agencies where you get on a van with a bunch of people and they go and do the visa run with you. (non-immigrant B Visa)
Like only 1500 Baht

any application you need to bring or does the Thai embassy have that to fill out in Laos?

research it

There have been such firms for many years. Jack Golf is one, but they go to Cambodia which is nearer for most people if u live in BKK.

For ventiane city (Laos) some people fly, or fly to Udon Thani and then get a bus. udon is NE Thailand. A train is possible, and the line goes all the way now, or nearly.

The BKK post classifieds (onlne pdf) has all the firms. Ajarn.com and Thaivisa.com will advise more.

It is worth checking which emabssies are "favourable" right now. Some go through phases, and can be odd with u. In terms of hassle, it may be cheaper to fly Air Asia to penang or KL for 100 dollars or less, and have a small holiday. I was interested in why you want Laos. Cambodia or malaysia may be easier. The Cambodia bus trip used to return u the same afternoon. But, I am no expert re the current trips available. Most people do their own trip anyway.

Re the cost, I am pretty sure that a Non-Imm B costs more than 1500b apart from the trip costs. My non-imm O used to cost 3900, unless I am deluded, which is possible.

Google Visa Run Thailand---Laos and all combinations similar.

The non immigrant visas are 1900 baht, slightly more or less depending on the country that you get it in with the exchange rate differences.

You will need a visa for Laos if you are going by land. I think that is more than 1,000 baht itself. (only flown so I don't know) I would fly into Vientiene, but make sure that you have all of your paperwork. I know of a few people who have had difficulty getting their Non B's there.

With travel, lodging and visa costs I think the cheapest you will find is about 4-5,000 baht for everything.

Personally, I recommend Penang. It is a Sht Hole, but very efficient.

I also think that Cambodia is nice to do it also, but the Consulate there can be difficult also.

That is where my school wanted me to go. They said it was easier to go there.

Sometimes, certain school and/or companies have used certain embassies more than others and thus know what paperwork is required at said embassy. The required paperwork varies between embassies and consulates. If your school has used Laos for getting Visas for teachers in the past, it may mean that they know what to expect there. Since they are the ones doing most of the paperwork, I would go where they are most comfortable. I think it will cost at least 5000 for eveything. (Visa cost to enter Laos varies on your nationality). Single entry Non-imm B Visa in Laos is 1900 baht.

I would take the night bus to Nong Khai. Arrive at 5-6 am. Get Laos Visa and cross border at 7-8. Arrive at Thai Embassy at 8-9 am. Hand in paperwork. Enjoy the day in Vientienne. Pick up visa next day in the afternoon. Cross border to Nong Khai and get the night bus back to BKK.
