About to sign my contract. I've been offered $2000 a month base salary. I feel this is low and I'm interested in what others have been offered.
Is the compound strictly female. Are males allowed access? _ my husband will be living elsewhere.
Interested to hear any other info. |

| Is that though footprints in Jeddah? I was dealing with them and decided not to take it, because it is low.. I have another offer for 3200 that I plan to take. |

The offer is for the new woman's university in Riyadh, Princess Noura University.
To start with, they told me I had the choice of housing allowance.
I just got a reply, after all this time, that if I want to stay with my husband, they will not give me housing allowance nor a room in the compound.
So that just goes to show........ |

If you have any credentials or experience the offer is a complete insult. $2000 a month and shared housing?
Do some searches using the name of the university and the name of the recruiter.
BTW... married couples even with different employers almost never manage to both get the housing allowance.

| I got $3200 and a housing allowance (although we get it as a couple). They are really taking advantage of you. Don't take it! |

Thx for the info.
I'm forced to take it since they took so long in sending the contract .. negotiation impossible & no time to negotiate .. |

i'm sure there are others who can get the contract out to you pronto. there appears to be lots of agencies after teachers to start asap, some claiming super fast visas(?)
i think there's recruiting going on for Jan/Feb too, or there will be soon enough, so don't be too hasty. |

No way!! You are never forced to take it!! Tell them that you are now fully aware that others are getting $1200 a month more and private housing and they can either improve the offer or stuff it.

Don't undervalue yourself. Being unemployed in Dagenham UK would be better than that |
