Hi all,

Taibah Uni seems to have taken on 150+ teachers this semester (about 50 direct hire and rest contractors), so for those who have started work there, how are things going?

If you are going to Taibah university, then I hope you will not make the big mistake by crossing the 'red' borders between Taibah University and the holly land. If so, then, you will be in a big trouble, and may be deported! Watch out, you will be living very near to the holiest and second most sensitive area of the Magic Kingdom. If you are a Muslim, then the above rules do not apply to you.

I guess the 150+ new teachers are not only for the English department, they are for different departments.

Thanks 007 for your very helpful advice Smile

No worries about that because we are not going to be in or even near Madinah. They have moved us to a different town where there is a small campus. So we will be nowhere near the 'red' borders.

I have heard they are well signed/marked out and that people there are very kind and if you are lost (the circular road can be confusing) and near the city limits they will help you find your way out. So for people who are working at the main Taibah university campus in Madinah it should be ok as people will help you not to make that mistake.

Well, there is a big sign which is 1.5 kM from the red borders and written in 7 languges (note the number 7! Laughing ), one of them in English:

"NO ENTRY FOR NON MOSLEMS"

http://www.islamicboard.com/umrah-hajj-eid-ul-adha/134278866-question-about-signs-makkah-2.html

BTW, if you are lost inside the red borders, are you going to tell the locals that you are a non-Moslem and lost your way? Laughing

You will note that I said near the city limits. So what I meant was that you were lost and near the city limits not within the city limit zone.

As far ad all the signs you posted the link to go, I doubt anyone would miss the well signed areas 1.5km away.
