I'm a university professor in Korea looking for a change of pace. My summer holiday will include a two-day stopover in HK and I want to spend some time looking into working there. I have 3 years of Korean university experience and an MA in English Literature. I passed the CBEST which is the California test you need to legally teach in that state but have no 'credential'. I've heard that the NET scheme is not impossible but don't really understand what hoops I have to jump through, or if that is my best option.
I have a lot of business experience with well-known U.S. financial companies (household words) so I thought maybe business English might make sense. I wouldn't make the move for chump-change, though. I want to get paid what I am worth.
What's my best strategy for a day or two in HK and a briefcase full of resumes? |
