lucreziaborgia: Facts or slurs? It would be a slur for you to demean my facts, or is it that we simply disagree and the nature of my commentary doesn't agree with yours, so by your account, my facts are slurs. Your account, is based in the apologetic language of someone who isnt aware, but yet is a caring human being. Nothing wrong with that, but learn to face the facts and accept that not everyone has the same mind. It's only because the other animals in the farm choose not to question and think, that the pigs dine in comfort and priviledge which is denied the rest.
The North violated the Paris agreements and stole the country. Fact.
They took most of the land in most cities, buildings, etc. Fact.
They do not recognize the original property owners and declare that all property belongs to the state. Fact.
They can at any time, confiscate any property and reward the "owner" relevant market value for the structure built on it (as the land is already owned by the state). Also fact.
I don't think our position is to change the government, but rather to inform others who may be thinking of coming here. Whether the rules are old or new, or just being enforced for the first time is also irrelevant as is the case that other governments do the same and that I should just leave if I don't like it. The point is that I am here, this is what is happening, and there are historical and theoretical reasons for the actions undertaken. One point that is relevant is whether these changes in policy are just the beginning of what is coming later. An apologist is someone who benefits from these actions without seeing them on a bigger picture. They may be working for the state or be indirectly employed by the state as many teachers are in one way or another. There are a whole faction of people who benefit from the actions of the state, and will do anything to support it.
This is also the point of such writings -- the actions of the state are not benefitting the people. They have not built up their schools, hospitals or parks. They have not provided low income loans to the poor to pay for education or housing. There are many things they could have done with the FDI coming into the country, but chose not to. Now they want to tax foreigners more in a literal shakedown at the borders. If you cannot see the madness in their thinking, well, you must be an apologist. As the income gap worsens, and the harsh realities of the incessant greed monopoly cave in, it will be too late to say "I told you so."
The links to education are pervasive. Just last week the chief of a large bogus schooling system in hcmc bought himself a Lamborghini. Thousands of students shortchanged for such in-your-face greed and profit -- made possible by the corruption within the government itself. It's a big business for the government. Teachers are a part of this problem, and therefore need to be aware of issues that pertain to it.
I have a work permit, can legally stay in the country and do as I please, but yet I can still see what's going on. lucreziaborgia, you might do the same, before you slur my facts again. |
