I am curious to know if someone actually edits our resumes before being officially posted?

Whenever I try to post my resume and go to the preview it becomes unaligned. Then I have to tinker with it to make it look presentable.

If no one from the site realigns it for us, I would appreciate some pointers.

Thanks :D

I don't think they get edited. Personally, I just write a paragraph with my info

nationality
years of teaching
quals,
etc.

Hi Naturegirl,

Thanks for your input.

That makes sense, and then you can forward them your resume if they respond.

I included a cover letter and my resume. Parts of the resume were misaligned but good enough for a potential employer to read. I have posted previously the same way and never had any problems getting responses.

Out of curiosity, where are you teaching these days?

It could depend on what font you're using and how you set up the page. I think that when you're transferring, uploading, etc., it's best to use simple fonts, no special formatting, etc., just in case the place you're sending it to doesn't have those same fonts/formatting features. Although that wouldn't explain why you were able to do it before...

I believe that the postings don't allow for ANY formatting/mark-up, so what ends up showing up is what your resume would look like without all the "stuff" in it.
