| and as stated housing is too low. |
What world/Saudi are you living in?
A housing allowance of USD 11,000 (SR. 41,250) is the highest housing allowance I have ever seen. Most places offer SR. 17,000 to SR. 25,000.
You could even get a studio in a compound with that. And if you choose to get a 2-3 bed apartment outside, you can easily save half or more of it. |

| Not only the number, I have no idea what school this is. I "googled" it and found a website but don't see any information about teaching English so I'm not sure if it's the right place. Anyway, I am not available until summer 2010. |

you sound in a bit of a panic. many places have no websites, and some that do do not have the info you're seeking. take my hagwon here in Korea.......... |

Most places offer two or three months salary (the amount is actually fixed by law). |

Doesn't matter what the law says. A lot of places have a fixed allowance. KAAU is notorious for giving SR. 17,000 even to ESL instructors hired with a salary of SR. 10,000, even SR. 12,000.
Where I work, those (academic non ESL positions) with Master's get SR. 20,000, PhDs get SR. 25,000/30,000/35,000 depending on title (Assistant Prof/Associate Prof/Prof). And this is regardless of salary as well.
And there are tons of other educational institutions who do the same.
The law says 3 monthly salaries, but then again, since when did the law mean anything here?! |
