				| Hi Everyone !
In the recent thread about Shenzhen/HK border crossings ( http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=77086 ), the OP touched on the above "rule". Has anyone heard anything about this "rule" ?

 Regards,

 Peter

The OP in that thread has now explained his own personal circumstances, namely a break from work and travelling/living on (and extending) tourist visas.

Hence, I believe that people on Z visas/Foreigner residence permits are not affected if they are actually working and renewing their work contracts without a break.

				| I THINK what Chris_Crossley said is true; somebody out there must know for sure? My contract expires in January, I've already been in violation of residency laws once and got away with it by pleading ignorance. I don't think they'll let me use that excuse again.... | |

if you plan on leaving when your contract expires, make sure your current visa or residence permit extends beyond that date. and if you're leaving china, make sure you leave on time. you already got lucky once.
