(Did I say that? I love the Rings).
All this high-falutin' fairy and sword stuff - how's about having our towels poised for a tribute to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Now we're talking literature.
For you poor deprived souls who have no clue what I'm harping on about -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/hitchhikers/
A brilliant trilogy in six parts about Earth being demolished to make way for an Intergalactic Highway. Drop them there MTESOLs and whatever else trivial you may be perusing - get yer nose into some real reading! |

Aaaaah, the memories. Actually, it's been so long that I've forgotten all of my memories of the series.

Dear yaramaz,
Hmm, shouldn't "42" also be posted on " the big questions" thread?

Dear John,
I can't post it there because then the whole question will change and we'll have to start all over again.
I really havent the energy to embark on such an endeavor.
Worn out from the lunatic teens,

| Without intending to lower the tone of the conversation, did the original poster really mean "Sod the rings"? |

I have literally just finished watching a documentary on Discovery that postualted that the earth was hit by the moon several billion(or something) years ago. It wiped out the very primitive life that was on the planet at that time. Life started again from a clean slate. Astronomers were talking about the differences between earth mark1 and the earth mark2. Talk about uncanny. I half expected them to start mentioning the mice.
Made me smile. And I don't even have a digital watch. |

DMB go back and study your HGTTG. 42 may have been the answer but the reason why it made no sense was that in order to understand the answer you had to know what the question ment.
By the love of the prohet Zarqua. I just realized that I have to go out and buy an anorak. |

The question is, "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?", is it not?
(This is why Denise didn't become a math teacher.)
