Browsing through the international jobs board today I was astounded to see recruitewrs in Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan offering $2,000 and $1,300 respectively. This kind of money is totally unacceptable for these regions.
Recruiters seem to be getting worse in this business. It's a well known fact that IH, EF, Inlingua etc have always been poor payers, but these lesser known companies are 'taking the Michael'. There is a time when a job becomes an exercise in charity.
Thankfully, I have a good job. |

If no one took those jobs then the demand would disappear, and asking someone else to not take a position that one thinks pays too low, to maintain ones own payscale - well, that just is not going to work. |
