I read about flying to Udon, then taking the express bus to the Vientienne central market. I've been sick lately so better not do the bus for 15 hrs. Or the train? What can you tell me? My visa expires Dec. 9. I'm in Chiang Mai.

And...the visa will take 1 day? Two? I just need a 60 day tourist visa. I go back to work late Feb.

And do you know a budget-very moderate priced guest house in Vientienne? (The place where I stayed last time was kind of horrible.) Any contact information?
