Hi All,
I desperately need help. I am an asian canadian who has been looking for a job in Taiwan for almost 6 months now. However i have not been successful because I am non-white. I have my BA in History and has tonnes of teaching experience. Any advice on how to get a job? by the way, I'm still in Candad. I don't want to go there without already having a job. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry, but the only help I can provide is to suggest that you post this on the Taiwan forum as well, where you might be more likely to get reponses of a specific nature.

no, i'm mostly interested in Taiwan. Thanks John I'll try it there.

Sorry youre having so much trouble because of your ethnicity. Its madness really as being western of Chinese origin you can probably offer the best of both worlds and your students will get much more from you than from someone like me! Anyway good luck mate, hopefully schools will wake up soon and realise people like you have so much to offer them and start treating you with some decency!
