Emirates College for Advanced education (ECAE) is hiring new teachers. Can anyone share some info about ECAE?

There are several threads on ECAE if you use the search funciton you can find them.

They are a newer college (this is their third year in operations), located in Abu Dhabi. They have some of the higher starting salaries for ESL instructors in the UAE.

There were some issues with the start up, but so far not many folks have come here and complained. And usually a lack of complaining in Daves means that things are going ok. So no posts is good news.

Again search for ECAE and you will find about a dozen threads.

It still has its issues and some minor hiccups with management and organization, but nothing really dire as yet. A friend there very much likes the courses, fellow teachers, and students. Those with some teacher training experience are able to move beyond remedial EFL.

One downside is that you have to find your own housing, but the college helps you and the allowance has kept pace with prices. Not to mention that the housing situation is not as dire as it was a year ago.

I'd say it is a good job if you can get it. It isn't a very large place, so they don't hire that often or that many.

I can't speak about their advertisements, but their TEFL people are mostly, if not all, MAs I believe.
