It's crossed my mind a couple of times, anyone interested in possibly opening a small school or kindergarten, please PM or email me at [email protected]

I have given up, or better said, suspended such an idea over here due to loads of red tape and unreasonable taxes that a company must pay regardless of profit or loss. I will stay a one teacher army for the time being but I do nurture such an idea. So, good luck to you! |

Are you thinking about starting up your own school? How are things going over there? |

Goodish. My head is full of ideas, I just need to stop working for a bit and sort them out. Tramites are a pain here. I've gotten tons of private classes, thing is we'll be leaving soon, nine more months! And counting. Really. I'm sick of Lima. |

Bear in mind, also, you don't need to start from scratch. Businesses often change hands completely here - although it's a lot of paperwork, it's no more than setting up your own business, without knowing who the Big Man is who you need to 'buy a special cola for'.
So if you're really interested in your own school, ask around to see if any current schools you know of are interested in selling up. |

Yes, I wasn't doing too well at checking posting dates there, was I?
Are you leaving for always and forever, or for this upcoming section of life only? Meaning, do you think you would ever return? |

Fingers crossed, I sure hope not. We do have property here though, and I have citizenship, so it-s a place to fall back on, I mean, we-re both Peruvian, speak the language, have the right to work legally, but honestly, I-m hoping to be in Asia for a while, then Romania, to raise kids.
How about you? YOu planning on staying here forever? |

That's the million dollar question for any immigrant, isn't it? I'm meant to be getting my citizenship this month, so we'll see.
I love certain things here, and I miss other things, too, so ... well, I have no real clue.
Romania sounds very interesting. Best of luck with that plan! |

Citixenship takes about 6 weeks for everything. YOu have to change your name. Peru is a good place, just not to live and there-s no way I-m having kids here. |

Come to the US. We have plenty of culture. Albeit, there is also plenty of crazies, wierdos, racists, and self-absorbed morons. But hey, its home. Not a good place to raise kids anymore though. There's only work and dump your kids at daycare to work more and then you need to work more because you can't pay for daycare. Then your kids become teens and hate you.
Nevermind. Don't come. |

Ummm A communist run dictatorship with censorship on basic internet sites, no tolerence for desent, no freedom of religion, speech etc, repression of human rights, occupation of Tibet, and the list could go on and on and on...
Vs.
The US. Nope it isn't perfect. But there's freedom and opportunity. Just ask the thousands of people who risk everything to go there everyday from places like the people's commie republic of China.
I would take Mexico or Peru anyday over some place like China.
And no, I'm not a Republican, just somebody who values basic human rights and freedoms |
