weather is a funny thing. i know people who live in cold and/or seasonal countries or states, and as much as they complain about the weather every year, they won't move somewhere else. when they get older and don't have the energy to deal with it anymore, they move south.....Shocked......which is why Florida is full of retired old fogies.

to each their own. i for one could never go long term in Poland for the simple fact that I can't deal with 7-8 months of shite weather every year. life's too short to slop around on slushy streets, trashing your clothes/shoes, freezing your a$$ off instead of cruising around in a T-shirt, all the extra preparation involved with winter commuting.....po prostu do dupy.

i remember growing up as a kid and having lots of fun in the winter (my home state had weather just like Poland).....it was something different and got me days off from school Very Happy.....but now as an adult with responsibilities and a desire to make my life as comfortable and uncomplicated as possible, i simply won't have it.

So have you packed your bags, drunk your prune juice, stuck tennis balls on the legs of your walker, and booked your flight to Florida or some other old fogie haven?

Yo dynow. I understand what you're saying. I lived in San Diego for 25 years before coming to Poland. Shorts and sandals, bodysurfing, sailing, running and biking year round. I loved it and weather was a big reason for staying there so long.

Then I came to Poland. Strangely enough, weather no longer matters to me. I just dress for whatever the day brings. To me it's a state of mind. I'm going to stay here until I croak so I figured I just had to get used to it, and I have. But that's just me.

When you bail next year, where will you land?
