I am on the cusp of accepting a position with Skyline Global to work with a company--I don't have the name right here--but from what I have read I have landed quite a deal considering my credentials but SA is conveniently located between Iraq and Yemen so maybe they are desperate. That said, I am wondering about the dress code for women in the larger centres either working for the university or the centres. Can you buy clothes when you get there? and are they expensive? I am trying to guage what to bring with me and how much money I should bring. Any info would be great. Thanks!! Beth

Dear bethinhfx,

Try these links, please.

I used the "Search" function, putting "women's clothes dress" in the search box and choosing "Saudi Arabia" in the "Forum" box and "Middle East" in the "Category" box.

Regards,
John

Yes, that's a perfectly legal activity, and in fact, it is the national pastime.

If you shop wisely (i.e., during sales), you can get good tshirt/polo tops, and button down shirts for SR. 20 to SR. 50, and trousers and long skirts for SR. 50 to SR. 80. I am talking about mostly European brands here, such as Next, Zara, Terranova, Stradivarius, Bershka, Marks & Spencer, H&M, Debenhams, etc.
