My girlfriend and I are planning on coming to Peru in June. We have a year of teaching under our belts and a tesl certificate. I finished one credit short of graduating from university so, although I have the education, I don't have the piece of paper. I am planning on just saying that I graduated and hoping that they don't ask to see proof.
I want to avoid Lima and touristy Cusco. That doesn't leave me with many options, I'm guessing. Should we go somewhere else in Latin America or will there be a place for us in Peru? Which cities are our best options and how realistic are those options? Thanks! |

You could go to Piura, CHicalyo, Trujillo. YOu'll be fine. IF you don't mind only making about 600 usd and being on a tourist visa, everything will be fine. Nearly 6 years in Peru and was only asked to see my degree once. |
