I've not taught in Saudi Arabia yet - can anyone tell me how this uni stacks up? Good/bad? (Both comments about the uni or the students or anything else relevant greatly appreciated...)
Thanks,

There is a lot of information about the Preparatory Year Programme (PYP) at King Saud University (KSU) on this forum (see Bell KSU thread on page 2 below). The programme is run by a three-way entity known as Bell-Obeikan/KSU. Bell is a British recruiter but also manage the English segment of the PYP on both the male/female campuses. Obeikan, a company with multiple holdings including a chain of bookshops specialising in educational products, are Bells partner in Saudi Arabia, and the teachers paymasters. They are also responsible for visas etc. The university remains a shadowy presence that drops edicts from upon high, like the one at the beginning of this year insisting on pointless office hours.
This might be a good opportunity for other teachers on the programme to contribute their thoughts/info as I have little to add to my previous comments. The female side has gone a bit quiet I noticeshock? |

ask yourself: is the salary offered worth of giving up everything else that matters to you as an individual/professional?
if yes: ORD/KSU is a great job
if no: you will struggle |
