I never carried much cash even back before one didn't have the convenience of ATMs... but I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking about Egyptian law or common sense?

There is no limitaion as to the amount of foreign currency that you may bring into or take out of Egypt.
However, there is a limit of 1000 Egyptian Pounds that you bring into or take out Egypt.
(I was in Egypt just 7 months ago.) |
