Indeed, the radars were reset in the AD emirate a few years back (I think it was in 2006) to tolerate speeds up to 160 km/h. Get this, this was supposedly a study to investigate whether increasing the speed limit from 120 to 160 km/h was going to decrease the number of accidents!!! I kid you not: there was a very serious article on the topic in the Gulf News, even quoting a Swedish firm that had come up with this brilliant idea, hahaha! Rolling Eyes
