| Don't have the x-ray! Just have the Mantoux skin test. You only have to have the chest x-ray if your skin test results are not normal. And if you have the Mantoux test done on the NHS (which is free) and the results are abnormal, they will refer you for the x-ray which will then also be free. |

| Well, I asked and asked about a skin test but my GP's seemed baffled by it and just went on about the x-ray. It's all getting too confusing. I think I found a private clinic that did skin tests for about �60 but it was miles away... will try having a look again though! |
