Im currently teaching English in Taiwan, but may be forced to leave because I can no longer get a work visa. Im thinking about going to Vietnam.
Im Dutch, 36 years old, I have a masters degree in psychology, 5 years teaching experience and by the time I leave Taiwan I will probably have a certificate Teaching English to Young Learners. Im a dedicated teacher, Im doing it because I love it, not just for the money.
What Id like to know is:
1. Is it easy for a non-native speaker to find a teaching job in Vietnam?
2. Can I work legally as a non-native speaker? If not, is that a big problem?
3. Is it possible to open a language school as a foreigner in Vietnam?
4. Im primarily interested in teaching elementary aged students. Is the market in Vietnam comparable to Taiwan (a lot of childrens classes and only a few adult classes)?
5. Is Vietnamese society tolerant towards relations between Vietnamese girls and foreigners? |
