So what? EU Citizenship is established under the Maastricht Treaty and exists alongside national citizenships. Equally the point about British Citizenship is wrong too. There are very "subjects" left alive, that is a defunct term used to describe residents of the Irish Free State prior to full Irish Independence. Most British people are classed as "British Citizen" which is what most passports contain, if your passport says "British Citizen" it will also have "European Union" on the front, if you are a "British National Overseas" eg someone born in Hong Kong prior to the handover it will not say "European Union" on the outside cover however you also have no right of abode in the UK or anywhere else in the EU.

Also the term European Citizen is used to describe the citizens of any EU member in the EU Free Movement Directive which is what allows us EU Citizens to live and work anywhere we want to within the EU.

Hello! I'm wondering if you have left to start the Canterbury course yet? I realize it's Feb. 1st, so let me know once you get into the swing of things- I'm interested to hear. I'm signing up for the May 2010 course and would love to hear what you think of it before my journey begins! Best of luck!
Thanks.

I am registered for the FEB 2010 course with Canterbury. I am an American without previous teaching experience, with a BA.

I'd be happy to touch base with you once my journey starts.

All the best.....

Hello Very Happy

I would also be interested to know what the course is like? As I am looking at doing my certificate with them in August 2010. I'm very excited to be heading to Spain!!
