Had a colleague with purple highlights. I don't think anyone ever gave her grief about it directly, but it did raise a few eyebrows. The nose stud will be no problem by itself, but in connection with the blue hair it could call too much attention to you. You can get away with a little bit of "different" but not a whole bunch of it at once.

Above all, keep those knees and sexy little arms covered, girl! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Oman ministries (MoHE, MoM, MoE) say, standard Western attire(for expats). That should mean long sleeves, formal trousers, shoes,tie. Otherwise they will have a whole pageantry of kaftaans, turbans, patani, salwar, kamees, thobes of all hues and shapes and what not...
