Hi again,
I have noticed a request for photos upon applying to certain places. I wasn't planning on sending photos of me at the bar but is there a certain professionalism expected or can anybody tell me what they possibly would like? Thanks |

In general, the more professional, the better. This is a very simple thing you can do which could automatically move you toward the top of the pile.
Assuming you're a guy, solid background, shirt and tie, jacket if you have one. Neatly trimmed facial hair if you sport that, and a hair-do that doesn't look like you dipped your head in canola oil and then rolled out of bed. Girls, err, I dunno about that one.
Looking nice definitely won't hurt and would probably help. Taking pride in your appearance is quite important in some cultures, so dressing the part can go a long way. |

Thanks RTG,
I felt goofy but that's what I did. Got dressed in a suit and had my GF take the picture. I didn't know if that was overboard but your info helps. |

They want to see if you're a Caucasian. Harsh reality. |

Blue or green eyes, blonde hair might help you get the job. Sad, but try. |

I'll throw in my 2 baht. Unless your GF is a pro, spend a few dollars on a studio pic. It makes a big difference, and easily recognized. |

Passport style, business-casual clothes (dressy shirt, shirt/tie for men, nice blouse for women), slightly happy glow (not goofy) and let fate take the rest. |

Send a passport photo with you in business/formal dress. Try to look friendly but serious if that is possible. |
