Hi all!

I am a US citizen and currently living in Germany with my Australian husband. I can work here under his visa, but the jobs here are few and far between for what I want to do. I *may* have a job here starting in April, but I won't know until the very last minute.

If I don't get that job I am toying with the idea of going to Poland for a few months. Why Poland? My father's side is of Polish decent. However I would not be able to get a Polish passport b/c it goes back too far.

Are there jobs for a 2-3 month duration with housing available? I'm not looking to save money, just be able to pay for living and some travel.

I have my MA in TESOL and about 5 years of teaching experience. I would like to work at a Uni (as I have in the past), but I know this might not be possible b/c I would like something short term. I would also like to work in Krakow as I have been there before and I loved it.

If this kind of job with accommodation exists, where would I look? I ran a search and couldn't find what I needed. I may just be a bad internet searcher Wink

Thanks very much.

Hi

Don't mean to be negative. But I would say no.

You may well find casual gigs teaching but there would unlikely be any housing thrown in, just by the hour stuff, and even that would probably require you to commit for a full academic year.

Let's wait and see what the other posters have to say..

You should consider getting a visa to North Korea easier than what you want to do in Poland!

Not a chance. By the time you sorted out your visa, you would be packing your bags to leave again.

No school in Poland would go through the hassle of hiring an American who wasn't willing to commit for at least a semester.

The obvious thing to do is take a contract with IH or Profilingua and do a runner when it suits you.
