| If they already have the paperwork in the pipeline at Immigration you could probably ask Heart to call and formally cancel the process. If I were you though, I'd wait the month and see if they come through with a job. You are pretty well screwed for an April start anywhere else if they don't, and you could still be fishing with other companies for something starting in June or July, just in case. |

Haha, I wasn't planning on returning but I also got an email saying that they didn't have a position to give me in April. I wonder just how much they over-hired?
Heads-up to anybody using the company housing: The move-out form has ridiculously high fines for any kind of cleaning. The comforter is dirty? 12,000 yen. There's one bag worth of garbage? 10,000 yen. Furniture or a bike? 25,000 yen. Dirty walls or "the room is not clean"? 30,000 yen OR MORE. When I moved in (and in the contract, I think) they said that if I wanted them to clean the room, it'd be 5,000 yen. Also, there is a 5,000 yen charge no matter what.
Is this illegal? |

Yeah, I'll still be in Japan so I won't be powerless if they deduct an absurd amount of money from my last paycheck. |

| I think they have sent our COE's to immigration for processing because I just got an e-mail saying my COE has been mailed to me. But they haven't offered me a position yet. This is strange. Anybody else have updates? |

We would like to talk with you again. Did you talk with Kent by skype? If so, we will skype you, but if not, please provide me your phone number and also, please let me know your available time. We would like to call you on Monday (Japan time).
I look forward to hearing back from you soon! |
No idea what this could mean. |

| This is getting very odd and making my head spin. Maybe they had more positions open up? I can't imagine any other reason why they would call you if they didn't want to talk about a position. |

I was thinking that too, until I saw your post. You said they're sending you your CoE, but no mention of a position. They did mention a position to me, but no mention of sending me my CoE.
Something's really off here. lol |
