I think you're a little confused Mr Lee - hardly a serious attempt to rationalize the students behavior - my posts handle more with producing rational and sensible FT response to possible classroom violence.
The threat of violence - at least in my book - is the time when the FT cuts total contact with the student - no amount of pontification over disciplinary method will equip the Ft for the possible consequences of a violent episode. The buck then moves on to those who let the "screwball" into the school - hardly our fault that folk like the dean sometimes seem to be looking more in the direction of protecting the school-fee rather than trying to find a real solution to a serious learning problem!!!!!!!
Not too many straight-jackets involved in that conclusion - just a message that a school's greed is never more important than an FT's safety |

Thank you for clearing things up, Mr. Kiv, for a moment I thought you were looking for ways to tell Mr. John to maybe soften his heart a bit and try to
accomodate the little rascal in some way, one more time.
Phew, I am glad that misunderstanding is gone by the way side. I 've witnessed
some AO's fears of dire consequences that they lose sight of their original intent. They would ask the teacher to give the student ONE more chance.
I am glad you are not one of them. However, even if you were I wouldn't hold
anything against you because in a foreign culture you must do what you must
do to survive and sooth your conscience.
So for John to be so strong is quite admirable, in the land of 1.3 billion! And he
did say he would quit first before he put aside his principles. Bravo! |
