I'm shopping around for some kind of satchel or manbag for when I start working at Shane. What size should I buy?
I've seen a Shane coursebook. The pages are A4 size and bound in a great big folder. Will I have to carry something like that to lessons? |

Is this for real? It's just an eikaiwa, right? You don't even need a bag. Get whatever bag you want. You know, to put the things you want to carry into it. |

One big enough to hold all the bullshit you're going to get. |

Yes, although I could have phrased it better.
What I meant was, "I'm buying a new bag and I'm going to work at Shane soon, so I'd better make sure that the bag is big enough to carry all my Shane stuff."
Those coursebook folders are pretty big. |

A paper grocery bag - cut two eyeholes in it and it'll be the perfect disguise so people won't recognize you when you go in to work. |

Just get along to somewhere like BIC Camera and get a good PC bag. I got a really nice one for well under 10,000 yen, that was large enough to hold the equivalent of two large laptops (four if you used every compartment division for just computers, but who owns that many LOL), yet still with space to spare to slip in a couple of dictionaries, grammar books, pens, paper, drinks, food etc. The padding certainly kept my books in good nick. |

Cor, so these folders are full of secrets to success, "hidden teachings" (okuden )? Or Shane just runs a tight ship when it comes to the budget (i.e. doesn't want to have to replace stuff that could otherwise get lost)? An inquiring mind simply has to know! |

I was wondering about having to carry the folders around. Usually you have to leave the course materials on the premises at eikaiwas. If you're not in Japan yet, just bring whatever bag you have now- a small backpack will do, and then buy something in Japan when you see what you need- you'll probably find a much larger range to choose from here! |

Ah. How naive of me. I thought I might have to do some lesson planning or mark homework or something. Since I don't, I already have something suitable.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to move you to the front of the list of people I have to kill.

That's a good plan, but I'm already in Japan and have time to kill, so I though I'd get on with it now.
Thanks, guys! |

Ooh, I'd better bring along my "My-body-sized bodybag", then! It's quite the accessory - just bung me in it and zip it up when you've finished me off! (I suggest a good battering with the CGEL). Then simply pop me onto the moeru gomi pile. |

30 minutes to plan 6 lessons?
Good luck with that. |
