No, not seperate....just thought there would be some that I don't know of.
It seems like nearly all the jobs I've seen advertised, require that the applicant reside in Japan. Does that mean actually having a work visa, or just being in Japan for an interview?
Thanks for the sites,
Cheers. |

I think most university jobs nowadays require that people be present in Japan do to an interview. Makes sense, since their other requirements are a bit higher than most other jobs.
If you have stellar qualifications and/or have been here before but don't reside in Japan now, it might be remotely possible to get hired without being here, but that's an obvious rarity.
As for any job that says applicant must reside in Japan, yes, they are hoping the candidate has made a commitment to come here, even if only to look around instead of doing it long-distance with online searches. Does it mean they also want someone who already has a visa? Hard to say. Look at the ad; they should say, but they often don't. If they don't say, ask. If they do say, it's just because they have chosen not to sponsor visas. |

It's not that hard to say. Job market this year in particular is pretty bad, so the majority of employers are opting out to hire applicants with valid work visa. Most of them advertise as much.
Finding work in the countryside, however, may well be possible. |

Why are you being so difficult and snooty? I recently wrote on this forum about the very same topic you are vainly trying to argue about. In it, I showed clearly that in a main job site (OhayoSensei), the vast majority of FT jobs advertised didn't fit the category you are ranting about. If you can't back up your own claims similarly, one might write the same sort of comments about your posts. |
