KFUPM - and I assume other universities - have announced dates for the academic year 2010-2011
25 September to 31 January is Semester 1 with a vacation from 11 November to 21 November
Semester 2 starts on 1 February 2011 and ends on 25 June, with a break from 9 to 13 April |

What are they calling this break since there is no religious holiday then... is there? Mid-semester break? I wonder how many employers are giving this.

It is a break in the middle of the Semester. Sometimes this has been a long weekend. In 2010 and again in 2011 it is a week sandwiched between two weekends.
Further proof that universities are cool places to work - if you choose the right one. Certainly better than those places where Biggles and his pals teach Airforce Cadets which end of the screwdriver to use ! |

| You should also be getting a week off between the two semesters. |

Different strokes for different folks. Incidentally my current income is around 3000 sterling a month. Do these Biggles characters really get 6000 ?
Good luck to them. I hope they are happy teaching their trainees how to fly Sopwith Camels. |

I have only ever come across one TEFLer working for BAE that had been in the RAF and that was an old boy who had done his national service.
Teaching them to fly tornadoes is just as laughable as your place training engineers. |
