Just wondring if anybody knows of some good places to look for work that are near to waves in Indo? I notice that a lot of the common places that come up with jobs are in cities far from the coast. I would love to teach in Indonesia but would love to be able to surf while I do so. Any advice much appreciated, thanks in advance, Sam. |

Your question has been asked and answered many times...read back through posts. Many people want a job by the ocean, but most TEFL jobs are in cities as that's where the market is. Some may be good for weekend surf trips, but few where you can expect to catch waves each day. Bali is of course the top spot, but not much is being offered.
Lots of people are wanting a job like you describe, and it is hard to get one initially. If you're serious about coming to Indonesia, focus on landing a position; the job market is tight right now. Once you're here and are completing your first contract, then you can start entertaining recreation ideas. |
