the crap winters here are possible my biggest complaint about living in Poland in general. it truly is depressing.

7 months of shite weather, every year, simply isn't a way to live.

The winters here aren't nearly as cold or as long as they were on the Front Range in Colorado. They're forcasting snow for Thurs in Denver. And Denver, CO is 5 degrees lower latitude than Warsaw. It is much higher elevation than Po, tho.

What bugs me about the winters in Poland is the dark, not the cold. For about one month every year, you feel like you stepped into the shadowy, post-apocalyptic wasteland from The Matrix.

But the rest of the seasons in Po make up for that one or two dismal month.

The sun coming up announces last call. Let there be light! Drink 'em up!

P.S. If anyone knows of some decent summer camps in Po, kindly give me a shout. I could use the dough and it will keep me out of trouble.

compared to where? (excluding places that are just not worth living in)

What I mean is, they aren't THAT cold. Look across the same parallel lines on the map. I believe in Canada it puts you between Calgary and Edmonton. Our winters aren't nearly as nasty and cold as theirs.

At least this one we didn't have "spring breakup from January on." It was wonderful.

Lots of places in the world are colder and nastier than Poland. It's the "greyness" that bugs me...but it's absolutely 100% beyond my control. I just turn on more lights! Smile
