This job is not a fairy story though. What we need, however, is some inside info. Does anyone recruited by Expat Teaching and working for HAK Aramco like to comment? And if you don't work there, could you wait before weighing in with more speculative guesswork.

Yes, scot, but I remember the time that you refuted my story of my passport being one of some who held up the unlevel desk of my GR guy. A true story, but one you labelled as an "urban myth".

You hurt my feelings, guy... Crying or Very sad

Dear Shake and Bake,

Thank you for that, but do try to keep up.

I KNOW BAE Systems is a military job and not an oil job. I worked at BAE Systems for two years, and after about a week even the slowest of us would see the difference.
Sharter and I were comparing salaries.

.

Oh REALLY? For your information, since you can't read very well, there are only TWO salaries mentioned here: $75K (Kipling), then $74K (me) and then you mentioned $74K.

$74K is MY reference and is unrelated to BAE. How would I know you're talking about some other job when you mention the same exact salary? Do try to keep up.

Psst. Sheikh N Bake, honey, your nipples are showing.

As the Lady so succinctly said
This thread is almost Dodo dead
Although it's well and truly read
It's really time to go to Bed

Abaya-Clad Desert Warrior Queenie is dominant woman and would naturally ride a stallion.

Oh what else would she ride?
And what else would she be?
Across the desert sands
Of ancient Araby
But she would surely trade it all
For a Sheik, who could Bake and be
The eternal Good Provider
Of a decent G & T
Oh posters be reminded
That Cigars and Booze are bland
Compared to a girl and stallion
Across the desert sand.
So if you are in Jeddah, Riydah or Dhahran
Don't forget your Stallion
Or the Gin and Tonic Man
He's just across the Causeway
An half an hour ride
Smoking his cigar
And waiting for his Bride.

Poetry..............an absolute thread killer!!!

It's a mare. As any respectable breeder of fine Arabian horses knows, it has always been the mares that stood as the foundation and most important in establishing a herd of breeding stock. Indeed, the Bedouins themselves could not always guarantee which stallion, or unproven colt for that matter, covered a mare. But they could always be sure about the foals' dam. Lineage was traced through mares and a prized mare was never easy to buy as no price was ever good enough. We are talking about over 4,500 years of history here.

Quote:
Arabian horses are the topic of many myths and legends, particularly about their origins. One creation myth tells how Muhammad chose his foundation mares by a test of their courage and loyalty. While there are several variants on the tale, one common version states that after a long journey through the desert, Muhammad turned his herd of horses loose to race to an oasis for a desperately-needed drink of water. Before the herd reached the water, Muhammad called for the horses to return to him. Only five mares responded. Because they faithfully returned to their master, even though desperate with thirst, these mares became his favorites and were called Al Khamsa, meaning, the five. These mares thus became the legendary founders of the five choice "strains" of the Arabian horse.[60][61] Although the Al Khamsa are probably fictional horses of legend,[62] some breeders today claim the modern Bedouin Arabian actually descended from these mares.
