| Is there any place in taksim to buy basic home goods? I'm not looking for a target or walmart. I just need things like eating utensils, towels, sheets, toilet paper holder and hooks to hang pictures. |

Hey, you made the leap!
I recommend Yu-Ha-Tu in Harbiye for inexpensive housewares. Or wait for the pazar on Sunday and they have everything you need for the kitchen as well. |

Yes, I made the leap. So far so good. Only issue is igdas taking their sweet time to turn on my gas ( numerous phone calls have been exchanged).
I will check out the places you mentioned.
