If anyone has experience with the paperwork that is involved to bring your wife over, please contact me.
I am in the process of working on it now and will be going to the ministry of foreign affairs in Jeddah soon.
Thank you so much |

The way it works at my employer is we fill out the form(s) online and send them to our company HR people to process with the gov't office. We don't need to go in physically. Don't you have a gov't relations officer? |

The most important document is your marriage certificate, which should be translated and certified by the Saudi embassy in USA (or by the Saudi foreign office in Jeddah if you have a copy). Other documents from your side include a letter from your employer stating your salary; photocopy of your Iqama & passport, and probably a copy of your work contract (depends on the type of job you hold!). Bear in mind that there are some jobs with low salary; the candidate cannot bring his wife! If you are working with a university, usually it is the public relation office which applies on your behalf. From your wife's side, she needs as well to provide the marriage certificate (certified), plus the medical report to be presented to the Saudi embassy in USA after getting the green light from the Magic Kingdom.
Check the web site of the Jawazzat in Jeddah, they might have an online system where you can apply using their online form? |

I was going to say the same thing as the Sheikh.
I've never heard of an employee going in person to the Ministry. In fact, I thought it was not allowed for foreign employees to deal with such documentation, and that it can only be processed through your sponsor. I would ask my employers' HR dept before treking out to some massive office block where everything is in Arabic and nobody knows who - if anyone - can process your request. |

its simple,
pay 2000/2500 at a bank and keep the slips with you.
have all your documents stamped by your company these includes:
Your employment certificate stating your salary, stamped by the chamber of commerce,
Copies of all your qualifications, and have your originals with you.
copy of your marriage cert, (which does not need to be attested by any place), as long as the company stamps it,
passport copy of yours and your partners,
fill in the saudi application which needs to be stamped by your company,
If you go in, go early.
In Jeddah there is no hassle, just finding it, in EP you have to go early as they only cater for the fisrt 100.
The only place that issues these visas are the Istiqdaam office. |

Thanks a lot to everyone who contributed!
I was just double checking all of the information that I got from another teacher here in KSA.
Seems like everything he told me to do is correct.
I wanted to get all the paperwork done myself (degree, marriage certificate, passport copies, etc), but I will have our messenger go to Jeddah to do everything. Things move around so slow in this snail society. It's best that I get everything in order so that all things can go faster.
Thanks again! |
