Your GP should do it. He may charge you. That is the way it is. Complaining on this website or anywhere else is not going to change that.

As of autumn 2009 at any rate, I know for a fact that you do not need to use an agency to apply for a work visa via the London embassy.

Realise this a bit of a dead topic now, but I got my work visa in October 2009, after trying to do it through the Enjazit website on my own. Enjazit spat out the vital reference number, I sent off my forms, and waited five days to be told that the number was wrong, and that I would have to use an agent. Enjazit also didn't work using Mozilla Firefox; it would only work properly with Internet Explorer.

They may have sorted Enjazit out now, though.

If you have lots of pieces of paper that need to be attested or verified by Tom, Dick & Harry, do it yourself. The agent will only charge you more to do it for you.

My medical report was signed and stamped by my GP without the slightest physical examination. If she did anything at all, she looked at my records. Some of the check-ups are pretty irrelevant anyway - Bilharzia?

She charged GBP24.99 for the signature and stamp.

thanks cuffs
good advice about trying the GP if you want to do it yourself. As for me then i have always had employers in KSA pay for and arrange an agent in London to do it for me. I have also teh advantage of living within stones throw of the embassy but would NEVER ever EVER EVER EVER EVER attempt to do it myself.

One ... they are as lazy and incompetant in the embassy as they are in the jawazaat in KSA

two... The reasonable employers out there should be willing to stump up the cash and pay for somene to do it for you and arrange the medical to be done at a harley street clinic.

Thanks for the info. I will approach my GP. Did you have to take an X ray and show it to the embassy?

Medical report for Saudi

Just had our tests done - some through our GP and some privately.

Found a great general practice in central London (BroadgateGP near Liverpool Street in case anyone's interested).

Then drove to Milton Keynes to get the signatures validated - took about 5 minutes once I saw someone.

I know the process isn't yet over but this part was a lot less painful than I thought it would be.

Thought I'd post it here instead of starting a new thread Very Happy

Now... if you had taken the Cairo job, you would have only needed to pack and take a taxi to the airport. Laughing
