I had this exact same issue. I however, talked to someone at the bank who I am making payments to, and they simply directed me to a form on which I could submit an estimate (CNY to USD) of my monthly salary. From there I could negotiate my payment amounts.

The bank my last school used refused to give print outs to teachers. I finally got one after taking the FAO there with me and paid 20 rmb for it. It was incomplete. I had to go again the next day. Ya I think everyone should ask for a reciept or make one yourself for them to sign.

Yes, print a receipt, yourself, and insist that they sign and stamp it.
