Went for another interview tonight (Kinger English) same story. Sorry we can not help you with the working Visa. We have no Licence to hire foreign Teachers. Wow what's wrong in Shenzhen. Seems very few schools have the legal right to employ anyone here. In this city anyhow. |

Sounds like a tax and red-tape dodge - if you have legit FT's officially attached to the school so there's the little matter of declaring the school income and getting all those expensive licenses in order. Most of these schools must operate on the same basis as many of the FT's in that area - on a moonlighting type setup that sees employers and employees working on an hourly payment basis. If FT's don't have an A job or a Chinese wife from which they get their long-term visa - then they have HK just down the road. These two groups feed off each other - the school provides students the FT a foreign face.
What have politics to do with it?????? |

Go to the SAFEA website. They have a list of schools (available in Chinese language only) by province, that are licensed to hire FTs. |
