Hello,

I am planning on starting my CELTA at ILA in October. This means I will be done in November. What are the job prospects like between November and say January. I imagine they do some hiring in December/January for spring semester, right? Ideally, I would like to work for ILA when I am done with my CELTA, but information is unclear as to the likelihood of securing a job upon completion of the CELTA. Does anyone know the average chances? Anyhow, I one cannot secure employment through ILA, are there other options during thee months? Thanks.

Many schools will be hiring, especially part-time teachers, at the end of November through December, as many teachers take time off for the Holidays to travel back home. I completed my CELTA at that time last year and had no problem finding work. Just be sure to secure a job before the lunar new year (February) as many students take a break from studying English.
