ok i have tried to look up information on english schools in both of these cities. I cannot really find anything. Does anyone have a list of schools for reynosa and nuevo laredo? Thats the first part..the second is is that i only have 1900 dlrs..is this enough? Im already here in reynosa and i have applied at the Oxford school, harmon hall, nuevo laredo city college and colegio mexicano...
speaking of which i have a question if i am doing something wrong or not. i have an acquitance that came from another country(two to be exact) and they got jobs at colegio mexicano. I have seemed to struggle. Except for colegio mexicano, i have not had an interview at any other school. I always get the "give me your resume and if they are interested they will call bit". Is this normal in mexico? What is the best way to find a job teaching esl in these two cities? I do have a degree in history as well as an associates..i just dont understand how two people from across the ocean can get jobs in mexico and I, being from texas..its so hard..am i doing something wrong? |

hi..my cv is definitely professional looking and i have no tattoos nor piercings. I do ask questions pertaining to the schools. I noticed that some places prefer those with a "british" accent over an american one.
As for the way i dress..its business professional..button down shirt..dress slacks black dress shoes and yes the are clean . I should have waited for the oxford person..but i had to get back...maybe next time..thanks for that tip..i do have an interview at harmon hall..not the best thing..but its better than nothing . |

Border towns are a tough place to get a TEFL gig. I used to live in TJ. PM me for more info. |
