Got to get ready for some late nights soon, anyone got any links (with English commentators) for the World Cup ? Football that is, or for some, soccer. Thanks |

If you go to www.myp2p.eu, it will give you a list of all kinds of sports. You need to download one of the viewing clients, I can recommend Sopcast.
When you click on the sport and game you want, you'll see a list of broadcasts. Choose the one that's being shown on your client with an [EN] next to it for English. Sometimes you'll need to try a few different channels before you get a good quality one.
I hope I won't get in trouble for posting this, the website itself isn't illegal; it was actually taken to court last year but was adjudged to be allowed to continue. |

Maybe it's easier to pop over to the sports cafe, if there is one near you, since most of the games are going to be in the late evening/early hours, so a drink before the game, followed by a drink after the game and then a few hours in bed seems like a good preparation for the following day's classes
Thanks for the links. |

I would if there is English commentary. In addition, I do not particulary like Japanese sports commentary on international competitions such as Wimbledon, Olympics, International Athletics, F1, etc. They hardly ever interview the stars (either they cannot speak English well or they do not have enough elbow clout to bustle their way amongst all the other sports reporters) and always zoom in on the lost Japanese competitors who have not much to say (obviously when you lose), but the worst is when they somehow like to cut short programs for the sake of commercials.
The best football (not "soccer" ) commentary comes from BBC, ITV or SkySports
However, you cannot beat Japanese commentators on the reporting of certain Japanese beach-volleyball stars They are the equivalent of Sharapova I suppose . |

| I am not sure if it will be bi-ligual? Yes, I agree, I don't like the J commentary, esp the "shooto" |
