| They are on holiday, trying to forget the last nine months. Some will return. Some will not. |

You're really not expecting any improvement are you? Check back in a couple years... maybe...

I've heard the usual exodus is underfoot. The core group of female faculty who have held in there since the start are leaving. The abuse has continued and maybe accelerated. The main compound had all of its trees chopped down (by order of management) and the Phillipina staff is now being worked 6 days a week, live 20-30 in a small villa, with no or poor AC. Garbage is collected on an occasional basis.
I suspect anyone with backpack and a pulse will be acceptable. Go there against all advice to the contrary, and you should not complain when it turns out exactly as you were warned. |

Yes, even the oldest of the old-timers (and I don't mean by age!) are getting out this summer, and most of these are people who had really resisted leaving. People who really had put their heart and soul into building a good program for good students. People who had no problem with living in KSA and in fact had every reason to want to stay...except that they could no longer tolerate being treated so poorly.
I doubt that PMU will be left with anyone who was there originally after this summer. The sad part is that it makes the students feel so abandoned by teachers that they loved.
If employees had been treated with a modicum of respect and dignity, this could have been avoided and the place could have thrived. If the admin could have behaved honestly and with just a little integrity, many of these teachers would have been willing to give many more years to see their students thrive and eventually graduate. |

| So who's going to do all the hard work for KSAALT? And organize the monthly snacks? I still have six months worth of membership, and have developed a liking for those little petit pan with zatar and labneh. |

| Sorry about your six months. Who will keep KSAALT going? They will probably find someone who will be willing, then they will abuse them, too. It is a thankless task. Those who set it up and kept it going did it for KSAALT, not PMU. Maybe a different uni will pick it up. |

Will knowing the details matter? The writing is on the wall, just have to read it. | |
