Exciting US vs Slovenia match, though the US was robbed of a win on a bad call. |

There was a lot of clutching and grabbing of defenders going on at the precise moment that goal was scored. |

I can now see Mexico and Uruguay maybe playing for a draw (tie) on Tuesday to knock out France |
Would be a shame to see the best African team go out though... |
You really think that South Africa are the best team in that continent? I would have thought the Ivory Coast had a stronger squad, as do Cameroon with Eto'o, though I admit he does look as if he's fed up. |

Cheeky cheeky TLWH!! I think he's referring to the fact that France has a lot of players who were born in Africa or second generation Africans and now represent France. I know this is something a lot of journalists and fans have commented on in France.
Or maybe he does think South Africa are the best team, who knows? |

I was refering to France... And on that performance England probably deserve to go out as well. |

Ah yes, of course France are truly gone, and only an accident will stop Mexico going out now, since the team they play need just a point too.
As for England, well, when you have a national newspaper on the day of the game having a front page with Rooney beside a quote by Winston Churchill, it's no wonder the players are suffering from overhype exhaustion. |

France's players refused to train on Sunday following Nicolas Anelka's expulsion from the squad for verbally abusing coach Raymond Domenech.
Domenech read out a statement from his squad which said: "The French Football Federation did not at any time try to protect the group.
"To show our opposition to the decision taken [on Anelka], all the players decided not to take part in training."
The French Football Federation's managing director subsequently quit. |

Hey, maybe they'll forfeit the match against SA. |
