However, I must applaud NCTBA's alliteration! |

My peeve: excessive erudition. ONE person place or thing (in this case, "a peeve") IS. Two or more people.........
Usually. |

'Greasy'. Peeved when pronounced 'greaZy'. As in 'Sasha, you greaZy little slimeball!' It should of course be 'Sasha, you greaSy little slimeball!' |

'A film adaption of the book'. Grrrrrrr! How's that for language change? Still wrong, though. Officially added to the peeve list. |

We are not. But some of us are indeed peeved off. |

Yes, I'm very peeved off. But the struggle will turn to triumph and a glorious future awaits all the faithful! |

'The USSR was a Communist state'. This peeves due to its political incorrectness. The USSR was a socialist state (hence the second 'S' in its name) attempting to build communism. It's a little bit like calling the USA a democracy when in fact it is a constitutional republic.

'Orientate'. A peeve not for the word itself but for being endlessly told that it is wrong. |
